Dr. Laurie Donaldson is in her fourth season as a team physician for USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program in 2012-13.
Since January 2006, Donaldson has worked as a clinical lecturer for the University of Michigan’s department of orthopedic surgery. From 2003-05, she worked as a physician at InterMed P.A. in both sports medicine and pediatrics in Portland, Maine.
Donaldson has served as a team physician for numerous athletic teams including the American Hockey League’s Portland Pirates, Bowdoin College’s women’s ice hockey team, the University of Southern Maine and St. Joseph’s (Maine) College.
A native of Springfield, Mo., Donaldson completed her bachelor’s degree at Drury College in Springfield in 1995 and received her doctorate of medicine from the University of Missouri in 1999. She then completed a residency in pediatrics followed by a primary care sports medicine fellowship at Maine Medical Center.
