Equipment Manager, U.S. National Under-17 Team

Jake Visser is in his fifth year with USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program and will work as the equipment manager for the U.S. National Under-18 Team this season. Additionally, Visser will serve that same role for the 2015 U.S. National Junior Team during the International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship in Montreal and Toronto, Canada.

In 2013-14, Visser worked as an equipment manager with the U.S. National Under-17 Team that captured titles at the 2013 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, 2013 Four Nations Tournament and 2014 Five Nations Tournament.

Previously, Visser has served on the staff of two U.S. Men’s National Under-18 Teams at the IIHF Men’s Under-18 World Championship, earning gold in 2011 and silver in 2013.

Visser’s experience at the NTDP also includes titles at the 2011 Four Nations Tournament and 2012 Vlad Dzurilla Under-18 Tournament while with the U.S. National Under-17 Team. He also was part of the U.S. team that took second place at the 2012 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.

The Grand Rapids, Mich., native has also worked as an equipment manager with the U.S. Under-17 Select Team (2011, 2013) and at USA Hockey’s National Junior Evaluation Camp (2014).

Prior to his time with the NTDP, Visser worked as the assistant equipment manager for the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League for three seasons (2007-10). During that time, he also assisted at the Detroit Red Wings training camp.
