Dr. Rebecca M. Northway has been a team physician for USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program since 2009-10.
Since August 2010, Northway has worked as a clinical instructor for the University of Michigan’s Canton Health Center in internal medicine-pediatrics and primary care sports medicine.
Northway has served as a team physician for athletic teams including the Ontario Hockey League’s Plymouth Whalers and Madonna University’s men’s and women’s soccer and basketball teams. She also serves on the medical staff for Michigan’s Special Olympics.
A native of Farmington Hills, Mich., Northway completed her bachelor’s degree at Albion College in 2001 and received her doctorate of medicine from Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine in 2005. She then completed a residency in internal medicine-pediatrics at the University of Michigan, followed by a primary care sports medicine fellowship at Providence Athletic Medicine of St. John-Providence Hospitals in Novi, Mich.
