Ryan Breen will spend the 2012-13 season at USA Hockey's National Team Development Program as the Brendan Burke Intern. The internship has been established in memory of the late Brendan Burke, who passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 5, 2010, at age 21.

Breen's responsibilities will include interface with the NTDP, national teams, international events and player development camps and also include exposure to USA Hockey's acclaimed American Development Model and Coaching Education Program.

He comes to the NTDP from Providence College where he spent last season as the director of hockey operations. He was responsible for in-game and post-game analysis and coordinating team logistics and streamlining communications while working alongside the coaching staff.

Breen has also spent time working with the National Hockey League, the Boston Bruins and the Providence Bruins, coordinating hockey operations and promoting the game at a grassroots level. He graduated from Providence in 2012 with a master's degree in business administration.

Previous Brendan Burke Interns include Stephen Greenberg (West Tisbury, Mass./Boston College) and Cole Burkhalter (Knoxville, Tenn./Canisius College). Visit the Brendan Burke Internship page here, for more information.
