Josh Brown is in his second season as an intern assistant coach at USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program.
Brown came to the NTDP from Robert Morris University, where he served as volunteer assistant coach and hockey operations coordinator with the NCAA Division I men's ice hockey program.
Prior to his time with the Colonials, Brown spent four years (2007-11) as an assistant coach at Northern Arizona University while also serving as head of recruiting.
A former player and two-year captain at Northern Arizona, Brown helped the program to three American College Hockey Association national tournament appearances (2006-09). He earned ACHA Division III All-West honors in 2006-07.
Prior to NAU, Brown skated for the Detroit Lightning (2002-03) - where he won the Continental Elite Hockey League Championship - and the Traverse City Enforcers (2003-04), where he was named a CEHL All-Star. He also suited up for the Springfield Jr. Blues and Soo Indians of the North American Hockey League.
A native of Ann Arbor, Mich., Brown graduated from Northern Arizona in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
